Pattern Review: Closet Core Emmeline Blouse

This is the Closet Core Emmeline blouse from their crew pattern subscription. I'm currently trying to fight my way through my extensive fabric stash, so this is made of a stripey red quilting cotton I picked up from JoAnn's years ago (RIP Joann 😭), which may have been a bit too stiff for this pattern, imo.... I love wearing red, so this feels very fun to wear. 

The sleeves are a little bit shorter than the drafted pattern because, frankly, I'm a bad planner and ran out of yardage half way through cutting it out.... So I had to improvise a little bit. So, I removed about 2-3 inches from the length of the sleeves, but the rest of the blouse is made as drafted. I think next time, I'll make it out of a slightly less stiff fabric, but wearing it makes me feel like a poet that's running away to join the circus, which is always a delight.
